Apex Filtamate FMP 600 PRV Water Pressure Reducing,
Back Flow Prevention Device
Apex 600KPa Pressure Reduction Valve with 1/4″ John Guest Push in Fittings.
Apex 600KPa Pressure Reduction Valve with 1/4″ John Guest Push in Fittings. Required by Australian Standards to protect water filters, refrigerators and ice makers, coffee machines and reverse osmosis systems.
High pressure systems to protect downstream components, e.g. Water filters, drink dispensers, ice makers, coffee machines and reverse osmosis machines.
Mobile homes and caravans where a connection is available to mains water.
FM & FM 1/2 are precision machined from high quality NZ brass. FM valve is nickel plated.
Integral dual check valves help prevent backflow (Not included all models - see specifications and product codes below).
Integral line strainer protects device and eliminates need for additional strainer to be fitted upstream. (Not included all models - see specifications and product codes below).
FiltaMate resists water hammer and limits water pressure to filters thus avoiding costly water damage.
Installation must be carried out by a Qualified Plumber
All pipe work must be flushed prior to installation
Do NOT apply heat near valve during installation
Must be fitted downstream of approved isolating valve
Must be installed in the direction as indicated by the flow arrow
Must be protected by a line strainer - See Specifications tab
Must be installed according to local regulations
May be fitted in any orientation
Warranty is limited to any fault found in a valve due to poor workmanship or materials that is returned to Apex Valves Ltd within 2 years from the date of manufacture
If thermal expansion (due to heating or cooling) or back pressure can occur downstream, an expansion valve must be fitted to relieve the excess pressure build up
Plastic tube: Polyethylene, Nylon and Polyurethane conforming to the tolerances shown below. Do not use soft or thin walled pipe. It is essential that the outside diameter is free from score marks and that the tube be deburred before inserting into the cartridge.
Pressure ratio: 10:1 (for every 10 kPa [1.5psi] increase in inlet pressure above 1000 kPa [150psi], the outlet pressure will increase by 1 kPa [0.145psi]).
Outlet pressures: 350 and 600 kPa [50, 60 and 85psi] +/- 10% @ 1000 kPa [150psi] inlet pressure (Contact Apex Valves for additional pressures available).
Maximum inlet pressure: 1600 kPa [230psi]
Maximum Tempreture: 40˚C [105˚F]; 60˚C [140˚] for FM and FM 1/2
Minimum Tempreture: 1°C
FMP supplied with fixing clip and screw.
FM DR (Dezincification Resistant) brass.
FMP Acetyl plastic.
FMBP DR brass inlet, acetyl plastic outlet
